Matrix Technology provides several major 3D printing technologies for different production needs:

  • SLM / Metal Powder Bed Fusion: Best for strong, dense, complex metal parts.
  • FDM / Filament Extrusion: Best for plastic prototypes, fixtures, tooling, and large functional parts.
  • FGF / Pellet Extrusion: Best for large-format polymer parts and lower material cost in production.
  • LCD / MSLA Resin Printing: Best for high-resolution dental models, guides, and detailed resin parts.
  • DLP Resin Printing: Best for accurate, smooth, and detailed resin components.
  • SLA Resin Printing: Best for smooth prototypes, molds, models, and visual parts.
  • SLS Nylon Printing: Best for durable nylon parts with complex shapes and no support structures.

The right technology depends on your material, part size, accuracy requirement, surface finish, strength, and production goal.

  • Choose SLM if you need metal parts with high density, strength, and complex internal structures.
  • Choose FDM if you need cost-effective plastic prototypes, jigs, fixtures, or large functional parts.
  • Choose Pellet / FGF if you need large polymer parts, faster material output, or lower raw material cost.
  • Choose Resin Printing if you need high detail, smooth surfaces, dental models, jewelry patterns, or precision prototypes.
  • Choose SLS if you need strong nylon parts, complex geometries, batch production, or support-free designs.

If you are not sure which process fits your project, send us your application, material requirements, part size, and expected production volume. Our team will recommend a suitable solution.

We support a wide range of materials across different 3D printing technologies.

  • Metal Powders: Titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, stainless steel, cobalt-chromium, nickel-based alloys, copper alloys, tool steels, and other SLM-compatible materials.
  • FDM Filaments: PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, PA nylon, carbon-fiber reinforced materials, and other engineering plastics depending on printer configuration.
  • Pellet Materials: Industrial thermoplastic pellets, including common and engineering-grade polymers for large-format production.
  • Resins: Dental resin, model resin, castable resin, high-temperature resin, flexible resin, transparent resin, and other application-specific resin materials.
  • SLS Powders: PA12, PA11, TPU, glass-filled nylon, and other powder materials depending on the machine and application.

Material compatibility may vary by printer model, part geometry, and final performance requirement. Please contact us before choosing materials for production use.

Yes. Matrix Technology provides 3D printing services for customers who need sample parts, functional prototypes, or low-volume production before purchasing a machine.

Our printing services can help you:

  • Test a new product design before mass production.
  • Compare different 3D printing technologies and materials.
  • Produce metal, resin, nylon, or plastic parts without investing in equipment first.
  • Verify part quality, strength, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Prepare samples for customers, exhibitions, or internal engineering review.

To start, please send your 3D file, material requirement, quantity, tolerance requirement, and final application.

For most 3D printing projects, we can review common 3D file formats such as STL, STEP, STP, OBJ, and 3MF. For metal 3D printing and production projects, STEP or STL files are usually preferred for technical evaluation.

For an accurate quote, please also provide:

  • Part dimensions
  • Material requirement
  • Quantity
  • Target application
  • Strength or accuracy requirement
  • Surface finish requirement
  • Any drawings or tolerance notes, if available

Yes. Many customers are unsure whether they need a metal printer, FDM printer, pellet printer, resin printer, or SLS printer. Our team can help you compare technologies based on your actual use case.

To recommend the right machine, we usually ask for:

  • The material you want to print
  • The maximum part size
  • The expected daily or monthly production volume
  • The required accuracy and surface finish
  • Whether the part is for prototype testing, tooling, dental use, jewelry, molds, or end-use production
  • Your budget range and installation requirements

Matrix Technology serves customers across multiple industries where 3D printing can reduce tooling cost, shorten development time, or enable complex designs that are difficult to produce with traditional manufacturing.

  • Dental: Dental models, surgical guides, crowns, bridges, frameworks, and dental production workflows.
  • Jewelry: Fine detail models, castable patterns, precious metal printing, and custom jewelry production.
  • Molding: Mold inserts, conformal cooling channels, tooling, and mold development.
  • Footwear: Shoe molds, midsoles, lasts, orthotics, and customized production applications.
  • Automotive: Prototypes, fixtures, tooling, ducts, lightweight parts, and custom components.
  • Aerospace: Lightweight structures, complex metal parts, tooling, and functional prototypes.
  • Manufacturing: Jigs, fixtures, replacement parts, low-volume production, and custom industrial components.
